The Bedford Charity Chase is a licensed 5-mile road race taking place at Turvey House Estate, Bedfordshire. The race starts and finishes within the grounds of Turvey House, with the course following a loop on local public roads through Turvey and Carlton villages.
The course has been officially measured and certified in accordance with England Athletics standards.
The event is open to runners of all abilities and is organised as a community-focused participation event. The aim is to bring together local runners while raising funds for local charities.
The race is delivered by an experienced event team, including an appointed Race Director and Course Director. The course will be fully marshalled and supported by a professional traffic management company, with temporary road closures in place on key sections of the route. Signage, marshal positions and diversion routes will be implemented in accordance with an approved traffic management plan.
Medical provision will be in place for the duration of the event, with qualified first responder/paramedic support based at race headquarters and available on the course if required.
The event is organised on a not-for-profit basis, with all runner entry fees donated directly to local charities. Event costs are covered through sponsorship and fundraising activities.
