Run the River is a long established 10km race organised by Edmonton
Running Club. The race starts at 10am with a course beginning outside
the Lee Valley Athletics Centre, which heads out alongside the River
Lee. It is an out and back, with the turning point through sections of
Tottenham marshes to the south of the course. The race finishes back at
the Lee Valley Athletics Centre with a lap of the running track. This is
a flat and fast route on multi-terrain (mostly on the tow path, but
with small sections on road, track and grass). The route was officially
measured as 10km in 2013 and re-certificated in 2023.
The members
of Edmonton RC make this a memorable event for all participants, with
enthusiastic support for all runners, whatever their ability. This race
proves very popular with local runners and usually sells out quickly.
Participants will receive a medal, quality technical T-shirt and goody
bag. There is a fun run for children at 10am on race day, for a small on
the day entry fee.
