Experience the wonder that has runners coming back year after year! Run Jericho offers a 1-mile Children's Fun Run, 5k and 10k run with views that will take your breath away...or maybe that's just from the running? ;-) The journey begins and ends through the streets of Jericho with picturesque views of the Thames River and Oxford Canal, idyllic landscapes of Port Meadow and through the luscious grounds of Worcester College. This multi-terrain run features a mostly flat elevation allowing you to enjoy your surroundings and heighten your senses, but not your altitude.
Jericho's strong sense of community will be on full display, so stick around and have a visit at our tables for some conversation, snacks, drinks, ice cream, event t-shirts, sponsor offers and a good time! As a bonus, 100% of the funds raised go towards St Barnabas Primary School and help to enhance the pupils' educational experience.
Venue Facilities: Enfenced School Yard/Park for Start and Finish. Toilets, water, unsupervised cloakroom for bag drop in the school. Some snacks, drinks and event t-shirts available to buy. Free ice cream for 1-mile children runners on the day when they present their race number. Other special sponsor promotions available to our runners, so please check social media and website regularly!
Important Information: Adults are not permitted to run the 1-mile Children's Fun Run unless accompanying children. Adults are required to accompany children under 6 years of age. If you are running with your child, please DO NOT wear your race number as it may trigger the chip, giving you a false timing for your own run. No dogs, scooters, bikes or buggies/pushchairs. The wearing of headphones and earbuds (other than those medically prescribed) is not permitted in races on any carriageway road that is not fully closed to traffic. Runners must be able to hear instructions from marshals in these areas. Bone conduction sports headphones are the only headphones permitted as they do not go in or over your ears allowing you to still hear marshal instructions.
This is a multi-terrain run and mostly flat course, however please note that there are narrow gates, uneven surfaces and some steps leading to steep footbridges on the 5k and 10k routes. The meadow in particular can have uneven surfaces where animals have passed leaving holes and in wet conditions, there can be some muddy areas on the course. Please visit our website to familiarise yourself with the course routes. We look forward to welcoming you to Run Jericho 2025 on 8th June!!!
Photography: If you do not wish for you or your children to appear in any published photo, please draw a large thick line across the race number. Markers will be provided at the registration desks.
Delays and Cancellations: In case of adverse weather conditions or other circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to delay or cancel the event. Details of an event delay or cancellation will be communicated across our website and social media channels. Due to the high volume of requests, we are unfortunately unable to offer refunds or process cancellations if you can't attend on the day as planned due to injury, family emergencies, scheduling conflicts etc.
