The Robin Hood Half Marathon is one of the longest established and most popular city centre road events in the UK. It is also the largest charity fundraising event in the city, raising almost half a million pounds for charity in 2024.
The course itself is great for both seasoned runners and beginners alike - for beginners, whose key objective is to complete the course, to more regular long distance event runners, looking to beat their personal best time. It is a single lap, 13.1 mile (21.1km) traffic free course. The race starts and finishes in Victoria Embankment and is undulating, so not all flat.
A picturesque route taking you along Victoria Embankment, River Trent, past Nottingham Castle, near the Robin Hood Statue, through the Nottingham Park Estate and through Wollaton Park where you're bound to spot some deer roaming.
