The race starts on Dixton Lane, an approximate 5-minute walk from race HQ. The finish is at Race HQ. Access from Race HQ to the Start is on the Gretton-Gotherington Road; a rolling road block will be operational when walking the runners to the Start.
The race route comprises of single loop along country lanes and a section of classified B-road, incorporating the following:
Dixton Lane (through Dixton and Alstone)
B4077 (between Little Washbourse and Alderton)
Gretton Fields (into Gretton)
Gretton Road (between Gretton and Prescott)
The course is run clockwise (right-handed), with right turns throughout with the exception of the finish, where runners turn left into the Race HQ venue where the Finish Line is located.
The majority of the route will be run along declassified rural lanes. A 1.4km section will be run along a classified B-road. Runners will run on the right-hand side of the road until they turn onto the Gretton Road where they will be directed to the left-hand side. A temporary 30mph speed restriction will be implemented along the stretch of B-road. A lead cyclist and a sweeper runner will be used.
